Apprenticeship Program
May 08, 2017
The LightingtheQCA.com Apprenticeship Program combines 8,000 hours of on-the-job and classroom training designed to prepare all participants for a career as a skilled, certified craftsman. Working and training during the day with contractors and employers, participants of our Apprenticeship Program receive competitive hourly wages, as well as health and retirement benefits after completing 1,000 hours of program training.
“Our Apprenticeship Program is a great option for individuals looking to jumpstart their career, all while doing what they love,” says Alan Anderson, Executive Manager of NECA Quad Cities Chapter. “For those who ultimately wish to earn journeyman status and become a qualified and reputable electrician for over 59 electrical career sections, our program provides the expert training needed to make that happen.”
The 8,000 square foot Quad City Electrical Training Center, located in Moline, Illinois, is outfitted with the latest state-of-the-art technology used in the electrical and telecommunications fields. Replicating situations commonly found on most job sites, the Training Center allows all program participants to receive the practical, hands-on training needed in today’s job market. In addition to the Apprenticeship Program, the Quad City Electrical Training Center also offers continuing education for journeyman electricians looking to upgrade their skills and stay up-to-date with the latest industry technology. The center even offers multiple refresher courses for those electricians who want to sharpen their skills and maintain their competitive edge.
